Not only am I talking about decluttering in these posts, but I’ve been on a decluttering binge in my own home.

Let’s be honest—decluttering feels amazing.

The moment you clear that pile off your desk, or finally tackle the room where everyone dumps things, it’s like the space exhales. You feel lighter, clearer, and more accomplished. You’ve checked a big task off your list, and the energy starts to flow again.

There’s less visual noise.
Less mental distraction.
And the “stuff” finally stops yelling at you: “Why aren’t you dealing with me?”

That’s the magic of decluttering—it creates a quick win. The energy feels better immediately.

But here’s the catch: decluttering alone doesn’t usually last.

The relief you feel is real, but it’s temporary. If the underlying energy flow in your home hasn’t been corrected, the clutter often creeps right back in. And within days or weeks, that light, flowing feeling fades.

Why? Because clutter wasn’t the problem—it was the symptom.

Next time, I’ll share what’s really going on beneath the surface—and how feng shui adjustments create lasting change so your home continues to feel light, clear, and supportive long after the clutter is gone.

*This post is part of my 5-part series on clutter and feng shui. In it, I’m sharing why clutter is more than “too much stuff,” how it affects energy, and how feng shui can help you create a home that truly supports you.
